We celebrated the first participant to earn a CDL license through the Bronx is Breathing Path to CDL workshop series — a major milestone for the project's green jobs pillar.
Fulton Fish Market charging solution load study started. Lunch & Learn session with Con Edison at FFM held December 4 to discuss electrical infrastructure needs for the charging hub.

First Path to CDL Workshop held September 25 with NYCSBUS, kicking off the Path to CDL workshop series covering CDL types, the application process, training resources, and the benefits of driving electric trucks.
Ride & Drive with VNRe, MMDe, and LRe electric trucks held July 23, giving Hunts Point fleet operators and community members the opportunity to experience zero-emission trucks firsthand.
MN8 Energy will lead the development of the new Hunts Point freight electric vehicle charging hub and workforce development center.
GHPEDC Spring Mingle and Fulton Fish Market site visit held June 4, giving partners and community members a firsthand look at the proposed charging hub location.
The fourth Community Listening Session took place during the Town Hall held May 17. ECC Annual Stakeholder Meeting held May 15, convening clean transportation partners from across New York.

DOE Community Listening Session #1 held July 30 to gather resident input on EV planning. EV truck and workforce development webinar held July 22.
Spring Mingle held June 5, bringing together project partners and community stakeholders.
Community Town Hall held April 20 to engage Hunts Point residents on project progress and next steps.
The U.S. Department of Energy awarded $1.7 million to engage Hunts Point stakeholders in EV planning and publish the Hunts Point Electrification Roadmap. Empire Clean Cities formed an Advisory Committee of planning experts and experienced fleet operators.
The Bronx is Breathing was awarded the $10 million NYSERDA Clean Transportation Prize to reduce air pollution, advance freight electrification, and support clean mobility in one of New York's most underserved communities. This milestone launched all three pillars: electric trucks, green jobs, and charging infrastructure.
Steering Committee, Advisory Committee, and Space Planning meetings have been and continue to take place on a regular basis throughout all phases of the Bronx is Breathing project.
