This lunch-and-learn will cover topics including:

  • -An overview of electric trucking in the Hunts Point and Bronx area 
  • -Programmatic updates from New York Clean Trucks Program

Join Greater Hunts Point EDC, Workforce BX, the Trucking Association of New York, Empire Clean Cities, and others for a webinar about pursuing your New York State Commercial Drivers License! A CDL is a great way to unlock a higher-paying job behind the wheel—learn everything you need to know about getting started! This webinar will cover topics including:

•The different types of CDLs and CDL endorsements
•Where you can pursue CDL training courses in the Bronx and beyond
•The process for applying for your CDL from New York DMV, including written and road tests
•What fleets look for in a successful driver applicant 
•The benefits of driving commercially, including salary ranges
